Paving a Pathway

 Editor:

Clearly, the shortage of engineers can and will impact all areas of life as we know it now ("Paving a Pathway to Success," Winter 2024).  The economic domino effect will include business, industrial and military sectors.  Diminished electronic technology will impact society in many, many, ways but especially computer engineering and slowdown of AI progress."

“Pathways” is a far better analogy to career development than “Pipeline.”  Keep up the great work!!

Remembering Joan Wadlow

Editor:

I loved Dr. Nancy Mergler's article in the winter 2024 issue of Sooner Magazine about Joan Wadlow. It brought back memories of meeting Joan and her husband (dressed in his Western best complete with bolo tie) at a reception in the alumni house.

They were such a colorful couple to me (a girl from prim and proper New England). I was so happy to learn even more about this remarkable woman in your article. You brought her full character to life. Thank you!

Best,
