The OU Alumni Association celebrates its 125th anniversary in 2024, connecting alumni and friends across the globe and serving as the local heartbeat of Sooner pride for thousands. With nearly 70 alumni clubs, the association spans 24 states—and its international clubs stretch across continents.

Sooners gather coast to coast for football, softball and basketball watch parties and host special road trips. But the impact of alumni clubs goes much further; during 2024, clubs raised nearly $250,000 in scholarship support. 

In Washington, D.C., the D.C. Sooners offer housing scholarships to OU students interning in our nation’s capital. The OU Club of Kansas City rolls up its sleeves for the Big Event communitywide volunteer day, while Dallas Sooners light up Beat Texas Weekend welcoming over 600 alumni, student-athletes and the OU spirit squads. The OU Club of New York City hosts special guests, from Tampa Bay Buccaneer Sterling Shepard to Broadway’s Kristin Chenoweth. 

In Tulsa, a scholarship golf tournament raised more than $11,000 this year, and in the Windy City, alumni annually rally around Chicago Marathon runners. Even the OU Club of Houston’s new BBQ cookoff is infused with the Sooner spirit.

Through it all, OU Alumni Association members raise vital funds to recruit and support the next generation of students while celebrating the legacy we all share.
